Walking in Faith
You know those days where you just feel almost like God's saying, hey remember when you said you'd like to start doing ___________? Well here's your chance.
So today has been an interesting day. Waiting at the bus stop for school I ended up stricking up a conversation with a girl because this guy in a car was staring at her. Didn't get spiritual, but it was still a good conversation.
Then I went to class and I'm really happy that I am in this class because the teacher rocks. We had to pick our topics for our presentations which was interesting because my 21 looked like it could have been a 12...because his 2's are kind of like Z's so instead of picking in the middle I ended up picking near the end...needless to say I didn't get the topic I wanted...but being the woman of prayer that I am I was praying and still ended up with a topic that I think I will like. And the proff (who clearly still remembers me from two years ago, which rocks cuz I got an A in the class) said that he thinks I'll like it and if I need any help than I can ask him. I figure it's going to be one of those times where God teaches me what I need to know, not what I want to know.
So after class I went on a mission to sell my brothers Economics textbook. He gave it to me because he got it for free when he was a TA last year and he has no need for it. The unfortunate thing was that this year they're using a new edition...so I can't sell it to the bookstore, but again, being a woman of prayer I was praying that God would send me to the person that he wanted me to sell it to and that I would sell it at the price He wanted me to sell it at and also that He'd make it easy on me...and interestingly enough it was fairly easy. I ended up asking a couple people and then I started talking to this girl and she said that it seemed like a good deal, but that she wanted to check with the proff first. Which resulted in me talking to her for about 20-30 minutes since I had nothing to do until Campus for Christ. She checked her wallet to see if she had the cash and since she didn't we ended up walking over to the bank machine so that she could get it. We had a nice chat about tuition and the horrible amount of money that stuff costs. The proff told her if was fine so she bought it and I think God really wanted to bless her by giving her a $160 book for $20. I told her I hoped she'd do well and said God bless you and left.
Then because I had nothing to do I started to head over to the C4C office to see if anything was happening there. I found out that they were doing stuff to set up for the meeting so I ended up helping out. I also ended up being assigned as a team leader for the game afterwards. So I had the responsibility of inviting first time visitors onto my team. So that was really stretching because I tend to be more on the anti-social side of things.
So a day of learning and trying to be led by the Spirit comes near it's close...Have a good day. =)
