Bowling, Movie and Dinner

So I went out bowling today with some of the young adults from my church. There were nine of us (so by some I mean a small amount). It was fun. I got the same score in both games that we played and I got a strike on my first time up in the second game. I don't think I was made to bowl...perhaps I need bowling lessons.

So after bowling 6 of us went over to the apartment of two of the people that were with us and we had some snacks and watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was quite the twisted movie. I imagine all those children and their parents would be tramatized. It makes me want to watch the old version that I watched as a child to see if it was as twisted as this one was.

After the movie one of the ladies boyfriends showed up and started to prepare dinner for her. At this point the rest of us decided to discuss where we would like to go out to eat. After we left one of the guys mentioned that he noticed a small box (like a ring box) shape in the boyfriends pocket. I would not be surprised if he has asked her the question since earlier she had been saying that he had asked her dad if he could marry her, etc.

So eventually we decided where to go and it was real busy when we got there, but thankfully we got a table nearly right away. We had to wait a while for service, but the meal was great and we all split a dessert platter and I feel full now.

I'm quite thankful that I was able to hang out with a group of people that I've never really spent much time with before and actually have fun. I didn't go hide and read a book somewhere. I talked, made jokes, made conversation. It was fun.

And I actually managed not to brag about my writing. In fact, I didn't even mention it (for once). =)
