Welcome Team Leader

Since I've become a Christian I've had a strong desire to lead. I've found it kind of odd how things have worked out because there have been a lot of times when I tried to lead and no one would follow me! So slight frustration. But now I've actually been asked to lead something (slightly different now), so I'm wondering if maybe this time I'll actually become a leader. I'm experiencing a combination of excitement and dread. Excitement because I think that it's exciting and I really enjoy what I've been doing. I hope that my excitement will be contageous and that other members of the team will also feel excited. But I also have a sense of dread because I've never been able to lead successfully before so I don't really know how this is going to turn out, but one of my friends did say to me that he thought I would be perfect as Welcome Team Leader, which I find funny because I'm such an introvert!
