And I'd like some fries with that...
Grace and Peace to you in the Lord Jesus Christ,
So we go out to Wendy's for some food and we grab some for the other guys at work. So when we get back to the church I've already finished my food (mostly in the car ride back). So I go out to enjoy the worship since the service just started and we call all enjoy a well-deserved break. So I worship a few minutes (like 10 at most) and when I come back and sit down John Pedler has just gotten his burger from the lovely bunch of us that went to Wendy's. Very quickly he notices that there are fries in his burger. So I look over and sure enough there are fries in his burger with the appearance that this was how the burger was actually made. Now, since I had been out of the room for a while I was completely clueless to the joke, but not naive like our dear friend John Pedler (who, to my knowledge still believes that the burger was ordered with fries on it). And Dallas says that his burger was the same way and that this is the new thing that they're doing and that it was even the cheapest burger.
So since I was not aware of the practical joke I'm like, What?!?!?! And I start asking all these questions about what's going on and I'm all confused. And eventually I take a second to notice that everyone (aside from JP, his friend, and myself are all laughing in hysterics.) So I finally get that while I was out of the room they had put the fries in there. So I start laughing with everyone else. So there's six of us laughing like crazy in the office of the church and then there's JP busy talking to his friend. And the six of us then begin to talk about how it was such a funny joke and that even with 6 of us laughing JP (with all his Englishness) has still not caught on to the joke. So JP finishes eating the burger and then says 'Thanks that was good" and throws out the wrapper for the burger.
So JP does into another room with his friend and then the guys decide to do the same thing to Jimmy's sandwich and decide to take it a step further by taking a bite out of his bun. So a couple minutes after that Jimmy comes in and Beck says, Jimmy here's your food and passes him the bag. So Jimmy takes the bag, walks around the office with it a bit, puts it on his desk, walks around a bit more and then finally sits down as we all eagerly wait in anticipation. So he finally opens up his sandwich from one side and eats the fries and makes a comment about how it's so funny how we put fries in his sandwich. And we're like blah. So eventually he put the sandwich on the desk and opens the wrapper entirely so he can get to the rest of the fries. Shortly after this comments start about how barq's has bite, and how many gigabites does his computer have and does it have enough bites and I'm laughing till my sides hurt and Beck is also laughing. And I think maybe there was other laughing and the keep making comments with bite in them. So eventually Jimmy catches on. It wasn't as funny as JP, but it was still good. Good times at the office.
