So it's basically the story about this woman who loses her husband and than decides to follow her mother and law to her home land. Naomi is obviously distraught because she says to her kinsman to call her bitter. She returns heartbroken, but as Ruth is obedient God blesses her and eventually gives her a husband. I think that Naomi may have felt abandoned by God...or something along those lines, because after she sees the blessing that God has brought she seems to have a change of heart. It's another example of how God brings good things out of bad.
