God's Answers
Today has been an interesting day. One of the things that I've been praying for is that God would send people into my life to pray for me and encourage me. I've had several people come to me today and pray for me and also give me encouraging words. At two different times of the day, from two different people I got a very similar word, which was basically along the lines that God would allow me to see into the hearts of others so that I could encourage them.
One of the guys that I work with quoted a Bible verse to me from John 16...I don't know what translation he was using, but I think these were the verses.
John 16 (msg) 13But when the Friend comes, the Spirit of the Truth, he will take you by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is. He won't draw attention to himself, but will make sense out of what is about to happen and, indeed, out of all that I have done and said. 14He will honor me; he will take from me and deliver it to you. 15Everything the Father has is also mine. That is why I've said, "He takes from me and delivers to you.'
So, not only did God send people to encourage me, but part of what my co-worker spoke over me were also things I've been praying for. Like wanting to be hidden in God's presence and the Holy Spirit being my best friend. So the point is, that even though sometimes things don't go the way we want/expect them to, God still does answer prayer (especially if you continue in faith and pray constantly). I can't explain how important prayer has become to me over the last few months, but I do know that God does send answers when you pray.
P.S. I'm choosing to take positively the interaction between me and my potential cell leader.
